Cash & Derivatives Analyst

Position
As an Analyst, you will have responsibility for structuring and preparing reports and presentations on market and client activity across the asset classes and the platforms. More generally, the Analyst will also assist the Business Development teams in the roll-out of strategic initiatives targeting prospects, trading members, and other stakeholders in the ecosystem and will be highly involved in the activities of the department.

  • Support strategic and tactical decision-making on client strategy, market share and yield management, market structure, and operational design.
  • Act as a liaison between the Business Development department and the operational departments (I.e. EMS) and external stakeholders (I.e. Clearinghouses)
  • Perform internal and external market quality and market share analysis
  • Implement systematic monitoring and reporting of EU market trends and competitor developments to identify threats and opportunities
  • Stay appraised on any academic work which could help understand market trends, needs, and opportunities.
  • Stay appraised of new product trends, identify and analyze feasibility of new product launches
  • Stay appraised of upcoming regulatory changes
  • Stay appraised on competitor developments and assess mitigating measures
  • Provide a library of academic references which can be used in building argumentation
  • Create a network of colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders in order to remain aware of all new trends and report back on a regular basis to the business heads within the Cash and Derivatives franchise.

Candidate

  • 1-3 years of experience required
  • Perfect command of Dutch and excellent level of English (oral and written)
  • French proficiency would be a plus
  • Master’s Degree in Business /Finance
  • Familiar with financial markets through previous experience within transaction services, investment bank, and/or an advisory boutique
  • Pro-active team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail, strong analytic, synthesis, and reporting skills
  • Strong and effective communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues both verbally and in writing,
