The Data Analyst is reporting to the Chief Data Officer. The team consists of first line of defense Data Governance and Privacy officers whose vision is to ensure Enterprise Data is well understood, trusted, roles and responsibilities defined and treated as an enterprise asset.

Our mission is to ensure data assets are well governed and protected throughout their lifecycle. We put in place frameworks, policy and procedures and trainings to enable this.
The Data Analyst specializing in Data Discovery and remediation ensures the safeguarding of sensitive information and compliance with data privacy regulations. Key objectives of the role are analyzing data privacy risk, implementing data privacy solutions to mitigate those risks and operating procedures to monitor, report on and remediate any gaps.
The role works in close collaboration with data privacy officers in first and second line, the group IT function, the business unit representatives and data governance team to deliver services to the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations
- Ensure operational effectiveness of data discovery, classification and remediation procedures
- Assess and manage risks related to data privacy
- Coordinate and deliver privacy training, communications and general awareness of policy implications to those with responsibilities for data and educate them on their responsibilities with respect to data and how to affect them in line with procedure.
- Work closely with privacy related initiatives to provide expertise and industry best practice on data privacy capabilities, tooling and remediation.
- Assess and determine most suitable tooling to perform activities. Administer monitoring and remediation activities using these tools.
- Gather data, perform analysis, draft reports and dashboard to communicate on goals, progress and any risks/issues.

Qualifications
- Computer Science or similar bachelor’s degree.
- two or more years of relevant work experience
- Certifications in relevant technologies, methods and platforms are a plus.e.g. BIG ID, Microsoft O365, MS Purview, Varonis, Imperva
- Experience with working in the financial industry is a plus.
- Experience within a corporate working environment
